I am delighted to report that we won the top prize at the BT e-Entrepreneur Awards, Most Visionary Business.

Wow, I wasn’t really expecting that. First award nomination, first award and unfortunately first speech!

So off we went on the 19th of Jan to the Corinthian in Glasgow, the location of the awards ceremony. We were ushered into the cocktail lounge, very nice but unfortunately it was very dark, as a cocktail lounge should be but maybe not at 4 in the afternoon. This led to some interesting peering at name badges trying to work out what people did. Ok, that aside the awards got underway.

Mark Strudwick the Chief Executive of PSYBT got proceedings underway and then passed the floor over to the Sponsor of the awards, a representative from BT. The results are as follows

Most Visionary Business – Peter McLean, The Foodie Company Ltd
Best E-commerce Business – Alexa Ispas, Research is Cool
Best Website – Lynn McEwan, Sparklyn
Most Environmentally Responsible Business – Ryan Carlton and Lynne Foster, PoLR

Well done to all the other winners.

You might be asking yourself why we are the most visionary business. The Foodie Company’s fist brand is Foodieboxes and we have lots more sub brands to offer in the future. The second exciting sub brand about to be launch is FoodieGadgets offering the very best in Foodie hardware, from coffee machines to tableware. So watch this space. If you have any recommendations don’t hesitate to contact us.

So, finally a big thank you to all of our customers and our fantastic suppliers.
