Finally we have launched a fantastic range of chilled goods. It has been a difficult job in two respects. The hardest being the large number of excellent Scottish food suppliers to choose from, second being the logistics of delivering the chilled goods nice and cold to peoples doorsteps around the UK.

The newest addition to the Foodie family is Winston – a big welcome to you! Winston is the new Foodie Wagon. He was purchased in March of this year. Tootling about in our regular cars just wasn’t practical for picking up all the delicious products and delivering the tasty Foodieboxes.

Spring has sprung foodies and it’s the time for fresh ideas, new ventures and expansion! We have a new project to launch Foodie Gadgets. A great Foodie website we hope to have up and running in the near future. The aim is to provide you with the opportunity to purchase modern and traditional, exciting and extraordinary foodie gadgets.

This Spring we were nominated for the SIE new ventures competition which meant another great trip through to Glasgow to attend the Awards ceremony which was held at 29 Private Members Club. After a glass of bubbles and mingling with other young enterprising types we got down to Business and were awarded “Highly Recommended” for our Business The Foodie Company.

I had to put the school hat back on last week and head off to do some training for my alcohol license. A whole day in a classroom followed by an exam! It’s been a wee while since I did an exam. Everything was fairly straight forward I think, haven’t had my results back yet.

I am delighted to report that we won the top prize at the BT e-Entrepreneur Awards, Most Visionary Business.
